The Purva Tirupati Balaji temple is a beautiful temple of Guwahati located at Lokhra area. The Balaji temple is a replica of the famous Tirupati Venkateshwara temple of Southern India.

Besides a Rajagopuram, the main temple has the beautiful Maha Mandapam, the Sanctum of the temple and Ardha Mandapam.
The Gopurams are constructed in sync with the South Indian architectural style like the Tirupati Balaji temple with heights ranging from 8 feet in the Ganesh temple to around 70 feet in the Rajagopuram.

There is also a Goddess Durga temple towards the right hand side of the main temple built on the outlook that Guwahati also id the seat of Goddess Kamakhya with the Kamakhya temple located in the Nilachal hills.
The temple premises also have a Yagasala built recently for performing yagnas. In addition to that, there is an auditorium decorated with beautiful interiors and exquisitely designed statues.

The Asthanamandapan hall auditorium features cultural functions of classical and folk music gatherings regularly during Sundays. The Dasavathar of Lord Vishnu has been beautifully depicted in the Asthanamandapan hall. The temple is well illuminated during night with glowing lights and can be seen from a distance.

There are regular morning and evening prayers which are done by the priests after which prasad is offered to the devotees. There are yagnas held annually in the temple. Apart from that, major festivals associated with the presiding deity are also held in the temple.
